Did I Mention Food?

Writing a book on Hospitality encompasses far more than I ever thought it would. I mean I began with the idea that we should all invite others into our home and make them feel welcome. Like they can come any time and put their feet up and have no worries. I wanted to convey somehow that we can also be helpful to our neighbors and friends especially in a time of need.

So I began writing. I had my chapters planned. HA. I had no idea what this project would entail. I decided that it would be a good idea to add a few recipes and home ideas to help people who struggle with having people over. Maybe it would make them more at ease inviting people. Wow, it just exploded. The more things I added...the more I wanted to add. Now there are over 35 recipes, how to's, testimonies of people telling how others helped them in hard times and quotes and Bible verses encouraging us to show hospitality to those around us.

The photography for such a project has been amazing. I have had 3 incredible photographers take the majority of photos. And two other people taking beautiful photos because I really needed a few extras. And then there will be some of my lesser photos that just make the point but I was the only one there to take them. I truly had no idea that this book would be so complicated BUT I have to say. It is gorgeous. It is now at layout and the copy editor said it will be elegant, a coffee table book. My content editor said it will change lives.

It's Not About The Pie has a publish date of August 1, 2019. Release date July 1, 2019, which means if you preorder on Amazon you will get it earlier. It will be available softback and hardback. That way if you have a preference or cannot pay for the hardback you have an option.

There will be appetizers, breakfast ideas, side dishes, main courses, desserts and how to sections with decor ideas. BUT the main theme is still the same - that we should show compassion and hospitality to others no matter who they are, we need to be willing to welcome someone. We don't need a fancy house or fancy food. Just to be willing...after all... It's Not About The Pie.
